Looking back at our past reveals our story. It shows you what we have accomplished so far and therefore it serves you as a motivational tool as well as a little insight into our work. This site will give you a quick overview over the most important events and the story of Phuket Meditation. Enjoy reading.

May 2009 - I had the idea to found a Meditation Center on Phuket Island. Parn and me did a 30-day retreat since it was the holy month of Vesak. During one of the meditation sessions, I suddenly thought of the words "Phuket Meditation". This was basically the beginning of the whole plan to found a meditation and retreat center.

August 2009 - After our first move to the initial center (it was really small) and a whole lot of bureaucracy, we recieved our initial company papers. All our paperwork was done wonderfully by Daniel and Aom (A&D Legal and Accounting). We also had our first booking for meditation sessions.

September 2009 - I recieved my Thai Workpermit on the 09.09.2009 (9 is a lucky number in Thailand). This was a great day for me. I actually spent my last money and all my savings (seriously, it was my last 3.000 THB) with no paying guests in sight, no solid work and no sustainable business whatsoever. Parns next salary was about two weeks away and our expenses for accounting, rent and so forth were double as high as our income. So I was happy and scared at the same time. I did not even know how to buy our next meal (We had about 6 or 800 THB left.) We were fortunate enough to find our first work at the same evening because of Parns miracle motivational powers.

October 2009 - On 20.10.2009 my master Ven. Gonsar Rinpoche gave his initial blessings for the center and my work as a consultant. This was absolutely wonderful and released us from a whole lot of doubt and fear. I still remember talking to him on Skype as if it was yesterday.

February 2010 - We moved to our current place. At this time we had a lot of great blessings to help us achieve our dream.

May 2010 - We had our first surprising booking for a retreat which was cancelled however. It gave us the opportunity to start with our retreatprogram. At first we were offering a place in our own house which we designed a s aguest room. 

July 2010 - Our first Retreat guest arrived at the 14th of July and stayed for 10 days. We were really excited and offered the best we had at this time to make her comfortable and happy.

August 2010 - We started working together with the Tanrak Bungalows in Phuket. They are practically our neighbours and had just opened. We could serve our guests there and this was much better then in our little house before. We had our first two guests towards the end of August. They did a retreat on their honeymoon.

February 2011 - We start with our first Workshops and a Reiki 1 Attunement at Phuket Meditation. This was given by Michael Stephens from the Provolution Center in Phuket.

September 2011 - We move to work together with the Yuwadee Resort - even closer and way more beautiful then Tanrak Bungalows. We are so happy to offer these beautiful rooms to our guests who come here to learn all about meditation and do retreats with us.
